Hi!

As we all know rocket animation is bottleneck in endgame and there is no way to speed up production. Because of that modules/beacons/legendary silo makes no sense here.

I've seen suggestion to speed up animation but still I think it won't be enough and wouldn't look good. We can reach over 50x base speed combining modules and legendary silo and +300% productivity so building 50 parts can take under 1 second I guess :) Speeding up animation 50x would look bad.

The other suggestion I found was to increase capacity of rockets and increasing their price. But this can lead to slow mid-game when rocket parts are expensive and sometimes we need to send just few items.

My suggestion is to "merge" multiple silos into one. Just like we have 3 types of assembling machines we could have another type of rocket silo. Let's say it's a grid 3x3 of 9 merged silos so speeding up would make much more sense here. I imagine there would be one internal "builder" that supports all 9 silos and we could speed up this builder much more than we can currently. In addition, those merged silos could be a bit smaller than default one but more efficient, sending rockets much faster (10-15s animation).

I like your suggestion, tiered machines are a true grinders dream. :ugeek:

My idea however was to just have the animation speed linked to the :any-quality: quality of silo and nothing more, with the basic 30% steps, so the animation would be at 1.3x, 1.6x, 1.9x, 2.5x speed. That means that even at legendary, it wouldn't look ridiculous and there's an actual reason to grind for the hella expensive quality silos. And having 2.5x less rocket silos is already a huge win. Now, since quality also increases crafting speed, the number of beacons would stay the same for all qualities (because then crafting time / launch time would be a constant).

I think needing to have multiple rocket silos to avoid the animation bottleneck, and then needing multiple belts or buffer chests to minimize loading time is an interesting logistic challenge though.
