[2.0.72] Crash saving "Input value larger than the maximum" (CircuitNetwork::save)

Place for things which are bugs but we have no idea how to solve them. Things related to hardware, libraries, strange setups, etc.

[2.0.72] Crash saving "Input value larger than the maximum" (CircuitNetwork::save)

Post by notnotatschool »

Log file, most recent valid save, and the autosave temp file that was created at time of crash attached. The temp file is corrupted. I was looking away from the screen, letting Factorio run in the background. I took no action at the time of crash. I had my inventory open at the time. Loading the autosave 3 file and letting it run for 5 minutes til the next autosave did not recreate the crash for me.

Still the same hardware as 115295, if you find a reliable way to reproduce the corruption let us know please.

I didn't realize that this was something that had happened to me previously, thanks for pointing that out. To answer the question in the previous thread, no, I haven't noticed any problems in other programs.

4 times actually: viewtopic.php?p=666169#p666169

Based on all 4 crashes being in different places, none of them being reproducible, and none of them pointing at places other people are crashing in, I’m like 99% sure your hardware is faulty.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.
