Hi,
I have 5 space platforms that pick up 2k ammo on Nauvis and then go to Fulgora. There they sit until Fulgora has requested ammo (for refilling space platforms towards Aquilo) until their ammo reach below 300, after which they're supposed to go back to Nauvis and pick up new. The problem is:
Fulgora cargo bay says:
Firearm magazine (logistics request)
Satisfaction: 0 / 1947
On the way: 0
Logistics storage: fluctuates between 18000-20000
Space platform says:
Controlled by circuit network:
Fire arm magazine (logistics request)
Satisfaction: 427/100
On the way: 0
Available on planet: 53
Import from: Fulgora (configured min 100)
Logistics networks menu on Fulgora shows 53 magazines.
According to the Fulgora cargo bay there should be 18-20k ammo lying around somewhere but I've looked everywhere on Fulgora and I can't see any chests with that. There were chests before containing the amount but they're empty now. There are assemblers but when turning them off the ammo still fluctuates +/- 100 every second. I can't see any ammo flowing to or from Fulgora cargo bay nor any bots carrying ammo.
Other items work being automated in this manner. It works dropping ammo manually from the space platform.
Any advice? Thanks in advance.
Phantom logistics numbers
Re: Phantom logistics numbers
This number is the cargo of this item in the space platforms in orbit. This is what is available for being dropped down to the planet. According to this, you have 18-20k ammo in your space platforms.Ntanglr wrote: Tue Dec 09, 2025 1:08 pm Fulgora cargo bay says:

According to your info this ammo is being requested by your landing pad, so it should be delivered. Since it isn't actually being delivered, you have some configuration error.
Items are not being delivered, if the "unload" checkbox in the planet's schedule isn't checked, or for any item with a request of 0 for that planet.
Re: Phantom logistics numbers
Thanks for clarifying! That was indeed where the ammo came from. You're right, it seems to be the configuration on the space platforms that they should have a minimum of 100 ammo and infinite cap. So I was expecting them to drop ammo at the planet's request until it reaches 100. What was different compared to other items though is those 100 that should be kept. I don't understand why it doesn't work still though since the criteria is just that they should have a minimum of 100, why doesn't the logistics system drop their ammo packs down to that lower limit? Instead it keeps the 2k items on board. I've done a workaround so that these specific space platforms use red ammo instead of yellow, so then the yellow works the same as other items. I suspect my productivity will go up 10x now that not everyone has to constantly wait for ammo for ages, thank you!

It is quite unusual to carry ammo to Fulgora just to send it to space platforms intended for Aquilo. Instead, you should design your platforms to craft ammo on the platform on the fly. With the Advanced Asteroid Processing research you get the ability to retrieve all required source materials from asteroid chunks for free.
To get to Aquilo, you need yellow gun ammo and yellow rockets (launched by rocket turrets). You're able to save ammo by additionally using laser turrets and use filtering in all of the turrets: filter laser turrets to target small asteroids only, gun turrets to medium asteroids only and rocket turrets to big asteroids only. The asteroids have resistances specific to certain types of damage and this filtering ensures you attack them with the proper damage type the most efficient way.
My personal preference is to add one nuclear reactor with 6 or 7 steam turbines to the Aquilo platforms, that's enough power for a corresponding factory on the platform. Solar panels get a bit weak this far out. One foundry for iron ore melting, one foundry for iron plates, one assembling machine for yellow ammo, 2 assembling machines for rockets give enough ammo, if boosted this ensemble with one speed 3 beacon and the iron plates foundry provided with produtivity modules 3 and the assembling machines with speed modules 3.

Re: Phantom logistics numbers
Alright, thanks for the tips! I have a fleet of a large amount of minimalistic space platforms that each carries just a single type of item. That way I can scale up easier and if there's a bottleneck it doesn't stop the other item types from being transported which happened before when I had larger ships. Yeah, I do have advanced asteroid processing and manufacture yellow ammo, but to speed it up I fill them up from the planets as well. But Fulgora became a refill hub for other space platforms' Aquilo trip, and it lacked sufficient iron plate production for that, hence why I had to set up refill from Nauvis. Using target filtering on the Aquilo routes and beyond, with rocket turrets to split the big ones and gun turrets for the smaller. I used to use lasers but when switching to the minimalistic space platform approach they got too power hungry for the lack of space so I switched back to gun turrets. On some larger ships with nuclear or fusion reactors I use lasers though.
