Hi Everyone,
I just got a strong enough computer to run the DLC is it really worth the cost? I have played over 3000 hours on the original so I would think it's a no brainer but haven't looked at any reviews. What do you guys that have played it think?

Re: Upgrade
Yeah. I have a lot of fun on space platforms and quality has been an experience figuring out.
Re: Upgrade
If you found the Base Game to be a good value (at 3000 hours, this is only about a penny per hour!) then you will most likely find Space Age to be "worth the cost" as well - I certainly do! Each of the 4 new planets brings fresh recipes, logistical challenges, and new mechanisms that improve your classic Nauvis factory. It is also possible to play without "Space Age" for a Classic+ experience.

Re: Upgrade
I would say if your principal or sole interest was in megabasing then Space Age may not be a natural fit for you. Also if you have OCD and can't endure throwing away stuff you may have a hard time. If neither of this is true then Space Age is Base Game times two in everything
Re: Upgrade
The nice thing about megabasing with Space Age is that you have paths to improve production besides just "build more" or "add modules":
- You can replace "normal" buildings with new buildings like electromagnetic plants, foundries, and biochambers, each with a 50% productivity bonus built-in.
- The cryogenic plant doesn't have that same productivity bonus, but it has 8 module slots.
- Higher quality makes most buildings work faster, up to 150% faster with legendary quality.
- The big mining drill only drains resources 50% of the time, and higher qualities drain even less, as little as 8% with legendary, so you don't have to find new resource patches as often, and you still benefit from any mining productivity research.
