[2.0.75] Construction robots loose roboport after marking spidertron for deconstruction

Post by Natha »

Have a spidertron with roboport. Do an action (building/deconstructing) to let some robots swarm out. While they are outside of the spidertron, mine the spidertron in remote view to mark it for deconstruction. Now the robots send an alert "not enough empty roboport slots available" and stay on their place even if the mine action was undone, a roboport is built or the spidertron is mined and placed. Only way is to mine the robots and place them again to find a new "home". (Another bug is that robots can't be selected when they are above resources).

Unfortunately without a save file and reproduction steps i am going to throw this to Not a bug. When a spidertron is marked to be deconstructed the construction robots in the air gets detached from spidertron's network and will seek another network to join, regardless of how far those networks are and if they have storage space or empty robot slots inside of roboports. Cancelling deconstruction does not restore robots to go back to the original network since those robots are already assigned to a different network, just unable to decide where to fly.

I attached my SE save below. The construction bots flying there (at the alert location) don't know where to go, even with a spidertron or the big logistic network in the center of the map.

Those robots in the alert were already reassigned to a different logistic network. One of roboports to which those robots were assigned to is at position [gps=128.5,-75.5] on nauvis. That entity is based on the RoboportPrototype and does not provide stationing spots for robots and as such it is a Not a bug. You can build some regular roboports to cover those fake-roboports with logistic range and the construction robots will fly away.
