[2.0.73] game crashes after some time after startup (VulkanSteamOverlayProcessCapturedFrame)

i was playing for a bit after wich i started firefox to use the wiki and calculator. after i alttabbed back to the game it had crashed. after restarting the game it keeps crashing after a random bit of time (10 seconds to 2 minutes). it crashes on the menus and in game. i have been trying a few things like updating my drivers in the devicemanager and reinstalling the game.
