[2.0.73] Inconsistent parameterise of display panel

Post by Quadrum »

I might be posting this in the wrong sub-forum, I apologize in advance if this does not fit as a bug.

When making a blueprint from a "normal" display panel, it is possible to parameterise the contents of the message.
For example, the display panel with the text "[item=steel-plate] is durable" correctly identifies the steel plate as a possible parameter, which is then shown in the gui.
If I then connect that same display panel to the circuit network, I would expect for this parameterization to still be possible for new blueprints. However, this is not the case. Only the icon can be changed, not the text for the different behaviors.

This is inconsistent and might be a bug?
In my humble opinion, circuit connected display panels should also be able to take parameters for the text content, at least it would be quite handy to have.

Thanks for the report. Issue is now fixed for 2.1.

It looks that parametrization was not fully implemented during 119866 as it only covers text inside of a display panel but not when the text is provided by the control behavior attached to a display panel.
