[2.0.76] Putting a Mk2 Power armor into an assembler destroys its inventory

The title should be self-explanatory, I just lost all my legendary equipment, thank god there are quicksaves

To be specific, I upgraded my legendary MK2 power armor to a legendary mech armor.
Since I've only got that one legendary MK2 armor, I shift-clicked that one into the assembler to craft the mech armor,
but I forgot to put all the equipment items in my inventory first, so they just disappeared.

This feels like a bug, I'd expect that the equipment lands in my inventory or on the floor or get transferred to the newly crafted armor (although this last option feels weird), but all equipment being destroyed was a surprise.

the linked duplicate states that the items should land on the ground, but this didn't happen so it seems to be a new bug or a regression
