What did you do?
Let me preface this saying that I found this issue while playing modded, but I disabled all mods, and then even deleted them, and it still happens in a fresh new save (I have no idea if a mod could have corrupted my install somehow). I feel like this bug would be too obvious to not have been reported before, so I have low expectations of it actually being a game bug.
The BUG: While flying over a cliff in fulgora with mech armor, if I "hand request" a mech armor to be put into a nearby chest, one of my constructions bots will remove my own armor, killing me in the process. In my normal (both while modded and also once mod-removed) save the bot then took my armor to a storage chest, but in the fresh save (no roboports or storage chests) the bot just stays immobile without showing the icon that it is carrying the armor. Upon mining it, I get the armor back, which is immediately taken again.
In the fresh save it happens immediately, but in my normal save it happens in a weird situation, I'm flying over a cliff, if I go to the side where there is land, nothing happens, if I go towards the oil ocean in fulgora, I die and the bot then takes away my armor (at the same instant). This "normal save" is 60mb, so I have not attached it, but can if you need it.
Note: By "hand request" I mean opening a chest while in map view, pipetting a mech armor, and clicking on an empty chest slot so a mech armor ghost is placed there to be brought in via bot.
What happened?
If on land: the bot takes my armor.
If flying, it takes my armor and I die.
What did you expect to happen instead? It might be obvious to you, but do it anyway!
The bot should never take armor being worn.
Does it happen always, once, or sometimes?
I can reproduce it 100% of the time in the attached fresh modless save.
I'm attaching the test savefile and my latest log.
[2.0.76] My own bots are removing my mech armor, killing me in the process.

Oh, thank you, I did not find it through search.
But.... seriously? not a bug?

If robots can’t take armor from the player then they also can’t count armor worn by the player for logistic requests. As in: if you request power armor and one is delivered to you + equipped, the robots would then deliver a second one and put it in your inventory.
If you want to get ahold of me I'm almost always on Discord.

I understand what you are saying.
What happened to me was that my armor was removed, I died instantly because I was flying, and my armor full of equipment was immediately taken to a recycler (funny I know, all my quality equipment got thrown out into the ground around the recycler). Now I know and will keep in mind that I cannot, while wearing a requested item, walk in range of my own roboport to the requester chest. (the network bots did not take my armor, only my own bots did for some reason).
Having said that, I would say it would be more "expected" to end up with an additional armor in my inventory than what actually happened, after all that's how it works with all logistics (like, if a landing pad requests 100 fuel and I keep removing it, I will fill my network with extra fuel).
I would also perhaps not expect bots to actually equip the armor, that is a nice extra QOL, but if that's the reason for leaving in a feature that has the potential to kill you and recycle your armor...
Perhaps at least not allow taking the armor while in flight? I'm prevented from removing it myself after all.
