do others have good designs/templates for a mall?
In pretty much all of my saves i would have a tiny mall and then spread out with a botmall. My lazy bastard mall is really bad and i dont know how to fix it

tip : you can use stone brick to make path, like 4 tiles wide, and then align assembly machines that output things that you could shop in chest all near the road to make it easier to "shop" things and it gives a direction for where things will expand when it grows, it's already quite like that in the bottom left of the second picture.
I see you are already using half belts for some materials, like steel, you can also add gears on a belt for the mall, also pipe, engines, wires, each on a side of a single belt.
Here is an example of what i have in my current game , where it also uses robots to make it easier for stuff unlocked afterward and to fill in the gaps, it's not necessarily the best as if it was a refined blueprint , there are times i realized i needed to "add another row" because i needed more belt "in the middle" , it's more the example of something were you can commit mistake and it still work, just add another row with the lubricated engine and the low density structure later if you didn't anticipated
There is a "main bus" of horizontal belts, to feed those and only belts are made in a different setup because of the quantity needed
