1.take repair kit
2. hold left mouse button to repair object
3. press Q (to unselect item in hand) while holding down left mouse button on repairable object
4. Crash
it doesn't matter if the object is damaged or not, holding left mb + q = crash

Just had this happen also.
Was using a repair kit, and pressed Q to put it away while still using it with the left mouse button -> crash.
