[2.0.20] Crash when loading save (unexpected error occurred)

1. What did you do?
I attempted to load my pre-existing save, last used in 2.0.15, in 2.0.20.

2. What happened?
When loading my save from the main menu using the continue button, or from the single player -> load game menu, the game crashes during the consistency check, citing an unknown error (see crash log).

3. What did you expect to happen instead?
I expected my save to succesfully load.

4. Does it happen always, once, or sometimes?
This happens every time I try to load this save, but does not happen when starting a new game.

Edited to add: Rolling back to 2.0.15 makes the save playable again, so I've done that for now.

Have the same issue here, with headless server and with normal windows version (singleplayer), save game is 2.0.19 experimental though.
Starting the savegame with 2.0.19 still works, with 2.0.20 in exp or stable branch doesn't work and crashes as seen in the log. the log output is the same on server and windows client.

I believe I'm facing the same issue starting with [2.0.20]. My previous save and autosave from the previous version do not work.

What did you do?
Continue previous save

OR

Select Single Player > Load Game > select an _autosave file

What happened?
The game started to load, but crashed after "Checking consistency"

What did you expect to happen instead? It might be obvious to you, but do it anyway!
I expected my saved game to load normally.

Does it happen always, once, or sometimes?
This happens every time since 2.0.20
