A cheap tank for killing medium demolishers with physical damage set to 11+ and specialist tactics. You need specialist tactics. If you try and just use the tank, you will die. Well, not actually that bad. Editted tactics section.

Tactics:
Drive up to it's tail and then begin attacking it. You will be in a temporary safe zone that will disappear as the Wiggyly will execute a high energy turn at freight train speeds and deliver accurate fires on you if you are not moving.
If you are moving. It is going to turn and deliver accurate fires. And you can still die. However you'll see it's health reduced to ~10% driving in a relatively straight path.
The solution is to make like Mad Max and execute erratic maneuvers, firing at the tail as long as possible and then switching to the head as the enraged Wiggly tries to run you over.
The lack of a nuclear reactor is based on the fact that a you can get a tie in your favor and lose the tank but walk out next to a dead demolisher worm.
Manually turn off bots, and for best results choose open terrain with minimal cliffs an lava pools. Repair bots get swatted and the damage trades are so huge that losing the repair kits the bots carry is of more consequence.
Edit: One thing not mentioned that I figured out - if you survive a firestorm, you can run from a mad worm till it loses interest. If you have ammo stashed in a carrier vehicle like another tank or a spidertron - reset and go again.
For a more mellow experience, I found this to be a good operational primer:If you are moving. It is going to turn and deliver accurate fires. And you can still die. However you'll see it's health reduced to ~10% driving in a relatively straight path.
