[2.0.43] Ghost Modules in machines being upgraded are displayed incorrectly

Post by BraveCaperCat »

What did you do?
I upgraded some assembling machine 2s to assembling machine 3s and put 4 ghost modules in them while they were still upgrading.
Reproduction steps
  1. Open or create a new save game.
  2. Place any amount of Assembling Machine 2s.
  3. Use an upgrade planner or remote view to upgrade the Assembling Machine 2s into Assembling Machine 3s.
  4. Add 4 ghost modules to the Assembling Machine 2s.
  5. Optionally, add Assembling Machine 3s next to the Assembling Machine 2s, also with 4 modules.
  6. See issue.
What happened?
The ghost modules in the assembling machine 2s displayed split in 2 rows, each with 2 ghost modules.
What did you expect to happen instead? It might be obvious to you, but do it anyway!
I expected the modules to display normally as if the assembling machine 2s were already assembling machine 3s.
Does it happen always, once, or sometimes?
Only when outside of editor mode, since in editor mode, the changes are completed instantly without causing an upgrade/item request to the logistics network.
Screenshots
First occurance of the issue (for me). Exactly the same setup as in the below image, except in a custom scenario with a mod and space age.

An attempt to recreate the issue in a sandbox game. On the left are assembling machines 3s, which display correctly. On the right are assembling machine 2s which are in the process of being upgraded to assembling machine 3s. These display incorrectly. No custom scenario (other than sandbox) or mods. (including space age, quality and elevated rails)

The save game from my attempt at recreating the issue in a sandbox game. Since there is no logistics network, the issue will occur permanently in this save game. (until a logistics network and appropriate assembling machines + modules are added)

I'll probably be wanting or giving help with modding most of the time I spend here on the forum.
