LuaHelpers in Data Stage?

As title says: Can we get LuaHelpers functions available in the Data stage? Currently, LuaHelpers is only available in Runtime stage and thus its functions can't be used in data stage.

To be clear: This was caused because I wanted specifically LuaHelpers.evaluate_expression in data stage, and having that one added to data stage would be most helpful.
