Hi,
I'd like to suggest a heat pipe network layer in the strategic remote view, similarly to the existing electric and regular pipeline networks.
Ideally, each separate heat pipe network would be colored differently, so that if using a single network and I see two colors, I can immediatelly deduce that I have a gap somewhere.
So to me, it would primarily be useful to see any potential gaps in the heat pipe network. At the moment, I need to manually look and go over the network in the game view, which is harder and adds more strain to the eyes. Also, it wouldn't be the first time for me to notice I have gaps due to restructuring and adding more stuff in Aquilo. The pipes were already hot, but I broke the network after restructuring it and didn't immediately notice. Only after the "orphaned" pipe network cooled off and buildings froze did I notice. After reconnecting it to the main network then the Heat Tower cooled down below 500°C and it took it quite a long time to get to 500°C again.
Additionally, it would be nice to see how the heat pipe network looks like in general in the overview. How's it spread out and if I can notice some optimizations in it due to major restructuring (make shorter routes, etc.).
Thanks

Me too!
My own personal Factorio super-power - running out of power.
Re: Heat Pipe Network in Remote View
You can try setting Custom Map Colors for different Entity Types. It will not show an "Overlay" specifically for Heat Pipes or Highlight Gaps, but you could use it to Visualize the network Layout with a Highlight colour.
Good Luck!
