[2.0.60] Noise when holding paste (CTRL + V) for longer than a second

Place for things which are bugs but we have no idea how to solve them. Things related to hardware, libraries, strange setups, etc.

[2.0.60] Noise when holding paste (CTRL + V) for longer than a second

Post by draco »

When I copy something and then try to paste it, I sometimes hold the key combination CTRL + V a bit longer. After 1-2 seconds, a strange noise is being generated, as shown in my screen recording.

I can't reproduce this behaviour. When I hold down Ctrl + V a sound is played only once, as expected.
From the video it seems like instead of the key(s) being held down they behave as if they were repeatedly pressed up and down.
Did this just start happening?
Does it happen outside of Factorio?
Can you try it with an on-screen keyboard?

SOLVED: Disconnecting keyboard and plugging it back in stopped the sound staccato.

Yes, it's the first time has happened.
It did not happen outside of Factorio, no. My keyboard behaved completely the same as usual outside of Factorio.
Edit: And I don't know how to use several buttons at once with the on-screen keyboard.
