TL;DR
Low frequency, low threat enemy spawns that makes defensive structures valuable also on Fulgora. What?
Occasionally spawn hostile robotic drones after a "thunder night" at Fulgora, outside vision. The drones head to the direction of the largest concentration of accumulators/rods (with highest energy) and attacks certain structures in its path. The higher the accumulated energy spike is, the larger amount of drones will spawn from multiple different directions.Edit: forgot to add that it should likely be happening after a certain threshold of accumulated energy alternatively behind a core technology to avoid having to prioritize defenses early on.
Why?
This would fulfill four things:1. After initial Fulgora "base setup" challenge is completed, there will be an additional logistics or energy management challenge (depending on defense strategy) adding more depth to Fulgora strategy and options
2. Defense systems have value on yet another planet
3. Adds a bit of extra lore to Fulgora: the drones are "awakened/charged" by the lightning, and seek a new power source (hence why they target the accumulators/rods). Gives a bit more insight into the earlier civilization and maybe its fall.
4. If drones can destroy rods, the lightning weather will feel like a continuous possible threat instead of just a speed bump in the Fulgora early game
