Configure mods in save without reload the game

TL;DR
There is very annoying process to loading save, when you want to disable or enable old\new mod - you need to enable\disable mod, restart the game, sync mod with save, restart again and only after can play.
What?
Is it possible to add the way to modify mods and only after this restart game with autoload the selected save?
Also there in no way to disable mod in save without disabling them in game itself, restart, sync, restart.... you understand, i'm hoping)))
Why?
Reduce the distraction when actively use and test different mods

I think you're missing something here. Just click "sync mods" and then pick the mods from that GUI that you want enabled/disabled and click confirm. It will be 1 restart and you then just load the save and play.

It doesn't give me the sync option when the save's mods are a subset of my loaded mods, I can't play a base-game map after playing pyanodon without manual intervention.

edit: oh, wait: I see it now, there's a "sync mods with save" frame icon at the top right, easy to miss, I'm used to just seeing a green "Sync mods and load" next to the "load" button on the confirmation when the new map has more mods than I have loaded, feels weird that it doesn't offer that for maps with fewer.

i'm not missing anything.
when you install\enable\disable mod (or change mod's version) - you forced to restart the game without any alternatives.
then you need to sync mods with save - and another restart happens.

what i suggests - is keep in mind that mods changes, letting player to configure the mod list, take changes in save - and in only one restart apply all changes.

Here's an idea: color the existing sync-mods-with-save frame button acceptance green.
