0.15.15 expected resources + productivity bonus

Post by kosievdmerwe »

The mining drill doesn't factor in the productivity bonus for the expected resources.

Steps to repro:
0. Research mining productivity
1. Find a place you can place eletric mining drill so it only covers one ore patch
2. Note the size of the ore patch
3. Place the mining drill.
4. Note the expected resources matches the size of the ore patch

There is an argument for not including the productivity bonuses for modules (you could take them out), but productivity gained from research is inherent and unavoidable. If your productivity is 20% and your ore patch is 200, there is no way you'll get less than 240 ore (give or take one).

This isn't a bug. The number on the map is resources 'in the ground', not what you might pull out of it with productivity.
