I can't place anything

It makes the sound and the dust cloud thing, but nothing is there (I even tried deconstructing after just in case it was invisible, it was not there). This happened with the most recent update. I can still build with the robots but that is it. I can deconstruct what is there I just can't replace it. I have tried placing conveyor belts, walls and power poles, and nothing. I tried resetting my controls and nothing happened. Please help I love this game and I've made so much progress

I hope this came out okay. I don't have any software to take video on my computer so its a sucky phone video.

I figured it out. I had accidentally toggled bluprint only mode. It makes it so you can only place over blueprints.
