I keep getting "error" whenever I try logging in through steam on the website

I am log on in game however can't log in to steam on the website.

I have tried multiple things such as trying the steam app qr code scanner, clearing website cookies, logging out in game, tried making a factorio account (this account) and then linking, tried to log in with the username I used in-game but then get the error saying this account has no password and told to link it to my steam account but I cant.
I don't know what to do so I hope someone has a solution
